Rights-cleared AI training data
Galena is a marketplace that turns the records your company already holds (ledgers and transactions, contracts, filings) into rights-cleared, anonymized training data for AI labs. Consent first. Provenance tracked. You get paid for signal that was sitting in cold storage.
Why "Galena" / 01
Before transistors, radios used a galena crystal and a fine copper wire to pull a clean signal out of the air. That's the job here: your company's archives hold real human signal (decisions, transactions, negotiated terms) that models can learn from. We extract it cleanly, with consent, or not at all.
Process / 02
Four stages, in order. Nothing is sold before stage three is complete.
Tell us what you have, no upload needed. Ledgers, financial statements, contracts, filings, transaction exports. We return a value estimate, typically $2k–$10k+.
Our legal process verifies you hold the rights, checks your original terms of service, and flags anything that needs user consent before it can move.
PII is scrubbed and the set is anonymized to the standard the domain demands, including HIPAA-grade de-identification for health data. Your IP stays yours.
Buyers review compliant samples. When a deal closes, you're paid, and only then are we. Live companies can list recurring exports for recurring revenue.
What we buy / 03
The records your finance and legal teams already keep, the same documents due diligence demands, are structured, scarce, and clearable. Use this checklist to scope what you hold; we budget an offer against it.
Missing pieces? In-house counsel rarely holds everything; outside firms often do. Describe what exists and we'll scope our offer to it. Every document passes the same clearance and redaction pipeline before a buyer sees anything.

Every listing carries a specimen label: origin, composition, clearance status. Illustrative examples below; request buyer access for the live catalog.

Who this is for / 05
Your company ended; the records your team produced didn't. Recover real value from archives you already own, including sophisticated side-projects.
Closed books, settled deals, expired contracts: turn the paper trail your operation produces into a recurring revenue line. We advise on consent and anonymization so the asset grows in value.
Real records, not scraped text: genuine transactions, negotiated terms, and decisions in context, with documented provenance and clean chain of rights for every record you train on.
The Galena Standard / 06
Rights-cleared data is worth more precisely because these rules hold. Every listing meets all six, or it doesn't list.
If your original terms didn't cover this use, we help you obtain consent, or the affected records don't ship. No dark-pattern re-permissions.
Buyers see where data came from, under what terms, and how it was transformed. Chain of rights is documented end to end.
PII removal is the floor. Regulated data gets regulated treatment: HIPAA-grade de-identification for health, equivalent standards elsewhere.
Nothing on Galena was harvested from the open web or acquired without the owner's participation. Sellers list their own assets, knowingly.
Licensing is scoped and explicit. Trade secrets, source code you didn't intend to sell, and brand identity are carved out before packaging.
Delist any time before a transaction closes, at no cost. Listing is a description of an asset, not a surrender of it.
Questions / 07
Nothing. You describe your data, we return an estimate and handle clearance. Our fee is a percentage of the sale, collected only after you're paid.
That's the exact failure mode Galena exists to prevent. Records move only when rights are cleared and consent covers the use. Identities are removed before any buyer sees a sample. If a dataset can't meet that bar, we'll tell you, and it won't list.
Finance and legal archives first: ledgers, transaction histories, financial statements, tax returns, contracts, filings. The same documents due diligence runs on are what labs can't scrape. Communications and operations data (support threads, internal chat, tickets) can add value as a second layer.
Often yes, depending on how the company wound down and what your terms of service said. That's stage two of our process; we verify it with you before anything else happens.
One-time archives typically estimate between $2k and $10k+, driven by volume, domain scarcity, and clearance quality. Active companies can earn recurring revenue on ongoing exports. Describe your asset and we'll give you a number quickly.
Rights-cleared corpora of real work: full archives from wound-down companies and recurring exports from active ones, each with provenance documentation and compliant samples. Request buyer access and tell us what your models need to learn.
